Social Problems in Brazilian Favelas

   Slums are usually characterized by urban decay, high rates of poverty and unemployment.They are usually associated with social problems like crime, drug abuse (drug addiction), alcoholism, high rates of mental illness and suicide. Because the problems of violence, education is difficult to reach some points of the Brazilian favelas. The Brazilian governmenttries to soften the high rate of violence in points with more content trafficking, theft, murder... Some features are given for all favelas in Brazil is as insufficient access to drinking waterthat leaves the populace often without water .. and sanitation and other infrastructure that the population has no access, the lack of infrastructure and overcrowding and unsaferesidential structures (cause of many accidents). We can not close our eyes to the social problems that the Brazilian favelas suffer.
